Green Grants: new category and last chance for 2024
This spring, the City launched its Green Grants programme. The programme aims to encourage residents to adopt eco-responsible habits and choose reusable products, thereby reducing waste production. As we approach the end of the year, remember to claim your refund for products purchased during 2024, or take advantage of the opportunity to buy a subsidized, eco-friendly gift.
What products are covered?
- Bicycle, Kick Scooter and Accessories
- BIXI Membership *New! Monthly and annual bike-sharing (BIXI) subscriptions are now 60% subsidized.
- Domestic Composters
- Plumbing Kit
- Rain Barrels
- Reusable Diapers for Babies and Children
- Sustainable Personal Hygiene Products
- Sustainable Yard Equipment
- Wheeled Garbage Bins
- Wildlife Installations
- Zero Waste and Eco-Friendly Products *This includes reusable fabric gift wrap or bags.
What are the refund amounts?
Reimbursement amounts vary according to the product. They range from $10 to $150.
How can I benefit?
Any Westmount resident who has purchased an eligible product during the current year, who provides supporting documents and who meets the required conditions, can benefit from the programme. Up to two (2) subsidy requests are accepted per address, or per occupancy unit, per year.
