Garden waste collection begins April 15
The door-to-door garden waste collection begins Monday, April 15. Make sure to place your garden waste curbside so that it can be picked up by the City.
To ensure your waste is collected, please ensure:
- Residues in paper bags or open containers weighing no more than 50 lbs:
- Weeds and grass clippings;
- Leaves and plant clippings;
- Vegetable garden and fruit tree residues
- Small branches tied with natural twine:
- Branches up to 5 cm in diameter and 1.2 meters in length
Your waste will be REFUSED if:
- Residue in plastic bags
- Bags or containers weighing more than 50 lbs
- Large branches over 5 cm in diameter and over 1.2 meters in length
- Branches not tied or tied with plastic or metal rope
- Soil, pebbles and rocks
- Logs and tree trunks

Contractors with a City permit and residents with a proof of residency may also bring their garden waste to the Belvedere Road depot, which is open from April 15 to December 1, Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 3:30 p.m. The depot is located on Belvedere Road, near the intersection with Côte-des-Neiges Road.
