Flags lowered for the victims of the tragedy in Nova Scotia
The City of Westmount joins several cities in Quebec and Canada in lowering its flags in solidarity with the victims of the shooting that took place from Saturday, April 18 to Sunday, April 19 in northwestern Nova Scotia. The flags of Canada, Quebec and Westmount at City Hall and at the Library will be flown at half-mast during the week.
At least 22 people lost their lives in what is the worst mass shooting in Canadian history. The City wishes to show its solidarity with the communities affected by this event and the residents of Nova Scotia.
Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.
