Festival Classica Concert in Westmount – May 29, 2016

The City of Westmount is proud to present for the first time on the Island of Montreal, a concert with Festival Classica.

Founded in 2011 in Saint Lambert, Festival Classica is dedicated to creating a public space that fosters encounters between classical music, artists and its citizens. The Festival continues to offer an exceptional five day programme in an inviting family atmosphere. Following the resounding success of its first five editions, the Festival is crossing the Saint Lawrence this year to open the season on Sunday, May 29 at 3:30 p.m. in Westmount at Victoria Hall with iLove Baroque by Ensemble Caprice.

Music reveals untold stories: tales of passion, affection, life and death, in short, stories of love. Five musicians, eight short stories, nine roses and two centuries of exceptional music from five different countries, penned by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Henry Purcell and others. This lively concert will capture the audience with a program infused with moments of drama, tenderness, joy and melancholy.

Mayor Peter F. Trent invites you to participate in this grand celebration of music at the 6th Festival Classica until June 5 with concerts in Saint-Lambert, Boucherville, Brossard, Saint Constant and Westmount.
