ExpoCity – Photo Contest

• The contest is open only to Westmount residents.
• Photographs must be taken within Westmount’s territory between September 1, 2018 and September 1, 2019.
• Photographs must be submitted electronically no later than September 1, 2019 at 11:59 p.m.
• The choice of the winner is final, without appeal and at the discretion of the jury.

• Take pictures in the territory of the City of Westmount.
• In the Participation Form below:
  – Fill in the required fields
  – Upload your three (3) best pictures. The format accepted are JPEG, PNG, GIF or PDF (minimum size 2 MB and maximum size 10 MB). High resolution: 300 dpi.
  – Provide a title and a short description for each of the three (3) photos submitted.
• Once you are ready to submit your application, press the “Save and submit” button. However, if you wish to save the information and complete the registration later, press the “Save and continue later” button.

• A jury of city employees will select a winner from the photo selections received.
• The photos will be evaluated based on creativity (idea and relevance), innovation, boldness, quality of execution, pictorial organization, harmony, appropriateness of choices, and relevance to the competition theme.
• The winner will be announced September 12, 2019 on the City’s website and social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

The winner’s three (3) photos will be displayed for one (1) year in the reception area at City Hall. The City will be solely responsible for displaying the photos, including printing, framing and hanging in the reception area.

• Contest participants declare that they have obtained all authorizations or exemptions concerning the components and subjects of the photograph entered in the Expocity contest and that they are the creators of that photograph.
• Contest participants authorize the City of Westmount to use and distribute the submitted photographs in its publications as a promotional tool for the contest.
• By participating in the contest, participants accept any liability arising from the exhibition and/or publication of the photos, thereby releasing the City of Westmount from any such liability.
