(in Italian, German and English, with French subtitles)
Followed by a discussion hosted by Francine Moreau with Ersy Contogouris, Art History professor at Université de Montréal.
In 1937, in Munich, Hitler’s troops organized two exhibitions. In one, they vilified what they considered “degenerate” art, and in the other, they glorified “classical” art. Almost 80 years after these controversial exhibitions, this fascinating documentary examines the influence of the arts in political regimes.
In collaboration with le Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée and le Festival des films sur l’art.
