The ecstatic music of traditional Eastern European dances had a considerable impact on Baroque composers such as Antonio Vivaldi, the legendary 18th-century Italian composer who was inspired by the heart-rending rhythms and melodies of his anonymous nomadic colleagues.
In this concert, Ensemble Caprice brings the fascinating music of the Uhrovska (1730) collection into dialogue with Antonio Vivaldi’s concertos. A high-flying encounter that will make you want to move and dance!
