In the vibrant musical scene of 18th century London, composers of Italian music played a significant role. Composers such as B. Marcello, F. Geminiani, G. Bononcini and G. F. Handel knew they could earn their fortunes by setting up here. Their music captivated audiences and transported their audiences to a world of expressive and virtuosic music. In this program, you will hear music for tenor voice, baroque cello, baroque violin, theorbo and baroque guitar.

Founded in 2011, La Compagnie baroque Mont-Royal (CBMR) share their passion for the discovery and performance of operas and music from the baroque and classical periods. The Compagnie mounts baroque and classical operas and chamber music, featuring emerging and established artists.
