The CLSC Métro offers the influenza vaccine free to certain groups, including people 75 years of age and over, pregnant women and persons with certain chronic diseases.
Changes to Québec’s flu vaccination program: revised vaccination recommendations
If you are between the ages of 60 and 74 and in good health, your risk of hospitalization or death from the flu is low. If you are the parent of a healthy child age 6 to 23 months, the same is true for your child. The flu vaccine is thus no longer recommended for healthy adults age 60 to 74 or healthy children age 6 to 23 months. However, if you still wish to get the flu vaccine or have your child vaccinated, you can do so free of charge this year.
The vaccine is also available by appointment in CLSCs beginning November 5th – use the link above to find out more information. Appointments are not given for the external clinics, including on November 7th at Victoria Hall.
The clinic in Westmount will take place on Wednesday, November 7th from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Victoria Hall, 4626 Sherbrooke Street West. Remember to bring your medicare card and to wear short sleeves.
