Complete Closure of Rue Saint-Urbain from January 14 to February 12

The Ministry of Transportation and Sustainable Mobility informs road users of the complete closure of Rue Saint-Urbain, between Boulevard René-Lévesque West and Avenue Viger West, from January 14 to February 12. This closure is necessary for the relocation of public utility lines as part of the reconstruction of the Saint-Urbain overpass above Highway 136. These works are part of the major refurbishment project for the Ville-Marie and Viger tunnels.

Traffic Disruptions and Management

  • Complete closure of Rue Saint-Urbain between Boulevard René-Lévesque West and Avenue Viger West from Tuesday, January 14 at 9:00 p.m. to Wednesday, February 12 at 5:00 a.m.
  • Local traffic will be allowed, and access to businesses will be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
  • Parking is prohibited near the construction zone.
  • The bike lane and sidewalks will remain open during the works.

Detours for road users:

  • Rue De Bleury (Jean-Paul-Riopelle Square) heading west.
  • Rue Berri heading east.
