In accordance with the adoption of Bill 34, An Act to simplify the process of setting electricity distribution rates, Hydro Westmount customers who received at least one electricity bill in their name in 2018 or 2019 will be entitled to a credit. The amount of this credit will be determined based on a percentage of the electricity consumption billed to them between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2019. This percentage will be available by the end of January 2020.
For Hydro Westmount clients, the rebate will take the form of a credit that you will automatically receive on your electricity consumption bill issued as of March 2020, depending on the billing date. This credit will appear only once, on one of your invoices, with the mention “Adjustment”.
In accordance with the Bill 34, Hydro Westmount will apply the statutory rate freeze as of April 1, 2020.
