Tennis Instructor
Purpose of position
Annual seasonal position from May 1 to September 30 (start date as soon as possible for this year) - 15 to 17 hours per week, depending on enrollment.
Under the supervision of the manager in charge, the incumbent is responsible for preparing the content of tennis courses and teaching tennis techniques to groups of children, adolescents and adults.
Qualifications
- Hold a high school diploma (DES).
Experience
- Have 2 years of relevant experience in teaching tennis according to the standards established by Tennis Québec ;
- Valid first aid and CPR certificate from a recognized organization ;
- Instructor level certification from Tennis Québec.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare content for tennis lessons in accordance with standards and guidelines issued by supervisor ;
- Teach children, teens, and adults tennis techniques ;
- Maintain discipline during classes and related activities ;
- Ensures equipment is stored and in good order ;
- Check equipment and point out any discrepancies to the supervisor ;
- Provide first aid ;
- Write reports related to his/her activities as requested.
