Superintendent – Water Supply and Sewer System
Purpose of position
Under the responsibility of the Assistant Director of Public Works, the incumbent plans, organizes, heads, and controls operational activities related to the repair and maintenance of the water supply and sewer system. Within this context, this person assigns work to the team, determines working methods and procedures, and supervises and coordinates the execution of work.
In addition, the superintendent participates in the preparation of the unit’s annual budget, ensures its implementation, monitors costs, and recommends efficient and effective solutions. This person also manages the unit’s human, financial, material, and information resources, collaborates in the production of work plans, advises his or her immediate superior on all improvements related to work execution, and acts as a consultant in his or her field of expertise.
Qualifications
- College diploma in a field related to the position
Experience
- At least five (5) years of experience, including at least two (2) years in team management or coordination that allowed the incumbent to become familiar with the responsibilities of the position, such as: Managing activities related to the repair and maintenance of a water supply and sewer system.

- the regulations related to the skills required, working methods and procedures, and safety aspects;
- both languages (French, English), spoken and written.
