Responsible for teaching of the fundamentals of pickleball to a group of up to 4 adults at a time. Demonstrate proper use of equipment, techniques, and methods of proper movements to achieve proficiency in activity. Instructor will follow Pickleball Canada program format and any specific direction from the coordinator. Explains and enforces safety, rules, and regulations. Evaluates participants periodically. The instructor is also responsible for keeping the coordinator informed of activities and problems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide pickleball instruction to adults according to the Pickleball Canada program format. Arriving prepared and on time.
  • Instruct specific elements based on class level.
  • Make every effort to cover all elements of level.
  • Assisting participants in activities and provide support and extra direction.

Experience and Abilities

  • Previous coaching/teaching in Pickleball program preferred.
  • Knowledge on Pickleball Canada program preferred.
  • Skill in managing groups of adults and seniors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other instructors, coordinators, and parents.
  • Ability to motivate and energize others.
  • Sensitivity and interest in working with adults and seniors.

Hours of work: 2-15 hours / week
