Gardener

Purpose of position

Seasonal employment from May to October 2025
2 positions available - 36 hours per week
1 position from Thursday to Sunday from 6.30am to 4pm and 1 position from Friday to Monday from 6.30am to 4pm.

Work involves growing and maintaining plants, greenhouses, the nursery, and the green spaces; executing tasks involving landscaping, soil preparation, and planting and maintaining plants, herbaceous and semi-herbaceous plants, and woody and aquatic plants in the community gardens, parks, and open spaces.

The work is carried out under supervision. A higher-ranking employee inspects the work in progress, and inspects the quality of the work once it is completed.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an institution recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation, in horticulture ;
• Must be bilingual (French & English).

Experience

• 19 to 24 months of relevant experience.
