Division Head – Communications
Purpose of position
Reporting to the director of the communications department, the division head – communications manages the citizen experience, a center which plays the role of a one-stop shop for a very large number of services offered to citizens in addition to monitoring the operations of the agent - customer experience. He is also responsible for managing recurring projects in his division and supervises operational activities in terms of customer experience and editorial. The incumbent works closely with all departments to establish an organizational culture focused on excellence in service to citizens by defining action priorities and mobilizing them in terms of service to the population.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree appropriate to the position.
Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the employment field, including at least three (3) years in management or team coordination allowing the incumbent to become familiar with the responsibilities of the position.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Manages the human, financial, material and information resources under his jurisdiction, in accordance with the rules, standards, regulations, and collective agreements in force;
- Is responsible for the management of recurring projects in his division, i.e. the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders, ensures compliance with priorities, budget and schedule;
- Is responsible for the administrative management of his department, i.e. the approval of purchase orders, invoices, time sheets, project schedules, etc. ;
- Develops performance indicators for all activities under his responsibility and ensures that communications products and tools are adapted to the reality of his division;
- May be called upon to participate in the writing, editing and revision of speeches, speeches, texts, tools and all means of internal and external communications for the Mayor; assists service management with these same needs;
- Participates, with his superior, in deploying the City’s strategic plan in terms of communication, social media, design and brand image.
