13 LED Streetlights Installed on Avenue Grosvenor

As part of its commitment to sustainable development, the City installed 13 new LED streetlights along Avenue Grosvenor, between Avenue Westmount and The Boulevard. This urban lighting project aims to enhance energy efficiency while contributing to environmental preservation.

The new LED lights provide brightness equivalent to that of the old systems but with a much longer lifespan. This technology reduces our electricity consumption and, consequently, our greenhouse gas emissions. Specifically, this change will result in an annual reduction of 1.42 tons of CO2 and a 55% decrease in electricity consumption compared to the old lights. Additionally, their long lifespan and high energy performance will allow the City to achieve significant savings on electricity and maintenance costs.

The City invites all citizens to share their impressions of this new lighting system. Your feedback is valuable in helping assess the impact of this project on the community and in continuing to improve sustainability initiatives.
